All: Please join me in welcoming our new SMGC/USMC BOD Members.
We would like to announce the addition of Major Nathan Bedle as Executive Officer, Gunner (CWO4) Christopher Jones as Operations Officer, and SSgt Wayne Gallagher as Liaison Officer. They will be responsible for communicating with MCB Camp Pendleton directly and assist in encouraging and recruiting more Marines to come shoot at our weekend matches.
Each have been supportive to the Club; and formalizing their roles will aknowledge their service to our organization. SSgt. Gallagher has already been extremely helpful in getting the word out at SOI about our activities and shooting opportunities. A brief bio for each is attached.
Major Bedle is the Director of the Combat Instructor School at SOI-W and Captain of the SOI-W Shooting Team. The Major has been competitively shooting for the last 11 years, primarily in USPSA, 3-Gun, precision rifle matches, as well as IDPA. He has also shot at multiple USPSA Pistol Nationals, USPSA Multigun Nationals.
Gunner Jones (CWO4) is the 1st Marines Regimental Gunner having recently transferred from the Advanced Infantry Training Battalion at SOI-W. Gunner has participated in both F-Class and PRS matches with us at Camp Pendleton and while stationed at Camp Lejeune.
SSgt Gallagher is a Combat Marksmanship Instructor at SOI-W and the Team Coach for SOI-W Shooting Team. He is also a double Distinguished Shooter in both Rifle and Pistol (2013) and has been a Marine for 13 years.
